LaunchBall: Fun with Physics +Science!

The physics-based puzzle solving continues with London’s Science Museum offering up LaunchBall. Instead of drawing objects to move your ball to the goal you’ll have to use a pre-set number of pieces to set off magnetic, electric, conductive or otherwise scientific processes. Above, for example, you place a fire block which generates heat to boil the water whose steam powers the generator which activates the fans that blows your ball into the goal. This is puzzle #4, by the way.

I haven’t delved too deeply into the game yet but its boxy art and animations have me charmed. It’s almost Portal-ish in its clean and simple design. Oh yeah, you get fascinating science tidbits between stages and there’s even a level editor. Check it out.
