(Almost) Every EGM Cover from 1989 – 2008

Thanks to the hard work of Pezchasers.net‘s Matt K and the help of the amazingly versatile FastStone Image Viewer I compiled this massive image in about 4 hours.

From February 1989 through September 2008 there are only a handful of covers missing.

I was hoping to be able to spot some interesting cultural evolutions when looking at these covers side by side but so far I’m just mesmerized by the image so please comment with your insights. Oh, and be sure to view the original size.

A few counts:
Batman has been featured on 4 covers while Star Wars has been featured 6 times.
Street Fighter has taken the coveted cover 12 times while Mortal Kombat has seen just two less cover shots.
