I think I found my Anti-Genre

Perusing the IGF 2016 entrants this morning I came upon this gameplay description that maybe sums up everything I don’t want in a game right now:

a CCG, Tabletop, and RPG mashup where you can expect many parodies and comic moments sandwiched between fantasy and popular culture.

The referential fantasy and pop culture stuff is fine but I draw the line at Collectible Card Games. Adding tabletop and RPG elements is like pushing me away and then closing a door in my face. The game itself isn’t the issue, it looks quite competent, but I can’t help but chuckle when descriptions pour on the layers of things I’m not personally into.
