WindFire OS

Unlike those coin blocks from Super Mario Bros. that were getting teenage girls arrested, this one is instantly recognizable by pretty much everyone with eyes. A great idea but I could see it inciting mass hysteria as rush hour commuters think their spreadsheets are following them home as they drive.

“Quad-line control, asymmetrical framing, invisible stainless fittings, and opposed-bow tensioning for the sail make this incredible kite look digitally pasted right into the sky. But it isn’t. Carefully designed by Tim Elverston, this high-end addition to the WindFire collection marks the beginning of the WindFire OS Series. Stay tuned and don’t worry, we’ve got all the logical extensions of this series in the works,” says WindFire Designs’ Tim, the guy who created this digital break-out kite.

So far unavailable for purchase, WindFire’s other kites start out around $80, so tripping the minds of passers-by at the park may be more of an investment than a whim.
