Eidos Surprised by Recent Sales; A Look at their Lineup Inside!

Surprising even themselves, two of Eidos/SCi’s latest releases have outsold their own projections. Tomb Raider Legend — which launched in April — has sold over 2.9 million units and Hitman Blood Money — launched in May — has sold over 1.5 million units worldwide. The latest iteration in the Championship Manager brand, a soccer simulator popular in Europe, has also been selling well.

Furthermore, several of Eidos and SCi’s other recent releases have broken into top ten chart positions including Total Overdose, Conflict Global Storm, Commandos Strike Force, Rogue Trooper and Urban Chaos. And the simple fun and nostalgia of Lego Star Wars continues to entice and has seen over 3.5 million units sold since its debut over a year ago.

In a shaky landscape where Eidos/SCi’s future seemed to be sliding down the mortal coil, things have suddenly turned around. So it seems about time to take a look at their 2006/2007 lineup and see if they’re liable to maintain the newfound momentum or slip a gear with too many licenses and sequels. Of the scheduled 19 product launches, here’s a look at 10 of them.
