My ideal game
In my head I picture the perfect game. It would combine every game I love with online community sites. It would be The Sims, Grand Theft Auto, Harvest Moon, Twitter, Brightkite , Livejournal & even Google Earth. It would meld everything for one stop gaming/connectivity. Yeah, it’s pretty much an impossible dream.
It would start out like Playstation Home sounds as if it will be, where you have your own “home” that you could decorate and invite people to. That would probably be where you could post your blog and/or photos. You could “check in” there or at least in the zip code or city like on brightkite. Then you could walk outside & it would be your own neighborhood in real life ala Google Earth (there would be all sorts of privacy settings for this part). From here you could drive/race cars to see what it would really be like to race cars in places you’ve actually been. You could use it to just see if streets connect for a better route somewhere or get driving directions. You could do a quick jump to anywhere in the world to check out other places, visit online friends, etc. From there you could check in again, as your online location.
I imagine there would be town squares where everyone could hang out to find others online. When at home the game could be as Sims-like as you choose. I’d leave off all the needs though, you could just have them do activities like gardening or caring for pets. There could be stat building aspects for people who like that too.
I just imagine an all encompassing game that fills every gaming/online need that could engross any type of gamer. I’ll keep dreaming π Now that I have put the idea out there, maybe someone will make it.
