XBOX 360 Hardware Begins to Show its Age, Sony Coming Into Their Own

Some recent Microsoft Executive chatter may have hinted at a PlayStation-matching “ten year lifecycle” for the Xbox 360, and Natal promises to keep the console relevant even longer, but some wrinkles are already starting to chip away at the console’s youthen beauty.

From Edge-Online word from Senior VP of EA Europe, Patrick Soderlund, that their teams have reached the limits of the Xbox 360’s hardware. He says, “Sony has a lot of good games this year. If you go to their [E3] booth, there’s a very consistent, high quality product line-up and that will help them. I do think that we’ll see developers inside the organisation getting to understand the PS3 better and I think that we’re getting more power out of PS3 right now… I think that we’ve maxed out the 360 but we haven’t maxed out the PS3.”

The hardware isn’t the only thing falling behind… but you’ll have to head to NfamousGamers for the rest! Oh no, such a tease!
