Microsoft goes all iWon with SearchPerks! & Xbox Prizes

With all good rebranding efforts come incentive programs and the New Xbox Experience is no different. Although not directly connected with the console refresh coming November 19th, SearchPerks! is surely a part of Microsoft’s million dollar image makeover. Every search on Live.com nabs you another Perk Point that’s good towards fabulous prizes like, oh, Kameo, a first aid kit, some music downloads, or a hat. Honestly, the Xbox 360 controller is the only thing that interests me but it requires thousands upon thousands of searches, all of which must be made in Internet Explorer after installing the SearchPerks! Counter which relays potentially sensitive data about your online habits right back to Microsoft.

Thanks for the chance guys, but no thanks. I’ll stick with Google and the Joystiq network’s frequent giveaways for my desperate grasp at free stuff.
