R-Type Dimensions is just R-Type 1 & 2 in 2.5-D

After the incredibly excellent R-Type Command on PSP I was expecting much, much more from the mysterious R-Type Dimensions than a repackaging of the original two games. Co-op is a great addition (which has yet to be confirmed for online play) but it’s the only redeeming feature I’ve seen so far. The off-angle 3D visuals look slick for about 30 seconds and the “Arcade View” is a total gimmick which boils the whole package down to two absurdly difficult old shooters for what will probably be a $10 price tag. I know you pseudo-retired the franchise Irem, but if you’re going to constantly go back to the R-Type universe, please just make a new one.
