Minecraft in 2D is everything I could ever want!

This is Terraria. It is exactly Minecraft in 2D (Notch even tweeted about it himself) but then they go a lot farther. Yes there’s mining, building, caverns, crafting, and enemies but the inspirations from classics like Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night give it a whole other feel. The only bad thing about Terraria is that I can’t spend the rest of my life playing it right this second! It has a dishearteningly nebulous release date of  ‘coming soon‘ but the fervor this video is about to create is sure to motivate the guys behind it. I cannot wait to give this a shot!
