Yes, I’m Excited about Speed Racer

For several reasons. One, Speed Racer was my first experience with anime and its art style blew my young Disney/WB mind. Two, it’s the freakin’ Wachowski brothers so you know it’s going to look completely incredible. Three, Christina Ricci and John Goodman. Four, Korean pop sensation Rain is a bad guy. And five, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen course designs like these. It brings all those fuzzy memories of Wipeout, Extreme G2, and F-Zero to mind. Actually, these courses look even crazier, I just hope the game offers several control options because Wii waggling for racing games just isn’t all that great… or fun.
