Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Microtransactions

D3 announced today that an expansion pack for the Xbox Live Arcade version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is in the works. Not only does it includes four new Hero professions, new spells, items, quests, monsters and bosses, they’ve also started a contest to name the thing. Between today and March 21st visitors to Puzzle-Quest.com can submit their overly dramatic subtitle suggestions like Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords – The Meadows of Sorrowful Bunnies Expansion! That’s just one I threw out there. Go on, you can submit it if you want. I don’t mind.

The winners will be announced on April 2nd leading up to the “Spring 2008” release of the as-yet-untitled expansion pack. D3 didn’t mention how much the Sexxy Tales of the Sexxy Dwarves pack (I’m still brainstorming) will cost but with that much content you can bet it’ll be at least 800 Microsoft Points. So, have any of you even finished the original Puzzle Quest? I was banking on having another eight months before an official sequel. Suddenly my Level 25 Warrior has an awful lot of catching up to do.
