Sega Warns “Do Not Try” on DS
Even if Google Translations is way off you’ve gotta admit that the foreboding title “Do Not Try” is perfect for a casual ghost hunting game. Hitting Japan this Summer (it’s the scariest time of year) the game plays sort of like a twisted spot-the-differences game where it’s your job to call out all the creepy things happening in a seemingly peaceful everyday photo. A story mode ties the more than 100 photo scenes together and supplies hints on where to poke and what to look for as you try to uncurse the Noroi household.
It went cliche as soon as The Ring proved to be a hit film but I still get a chill out of seeing creepy Japanese kids superimposed into innocent, happy scenes. There’s a simpler”Psychic Photo Mode” so hopefully this one will still be playable to those of us illiterate in the ways of Japanese. I’ll try to find this one once it’s out, but for now check out a few more creepy screenshots from GameWatch.
