Forget ‘Unleashed’, Sonic’s New Direction Revealed

Sonic the Hedgehog has been the hip and cool alternative to Mario since his debut in the 90’s, so why not recruit him and his sidekick Tails to sell AT&T cellphones? I spotted this sad-but-funny ad on Saturday while at Reference.com. I must’ve watched it three or four times and I’d have recaptured the whole exchange here in GIF form only I can’t get the ad to load again. This is seriously the only time since I was making money from page refreshes that I’ve sat around reloading a site just to see ads.

I can definitely see what Sega meant about taking Sonic in a new direction. Ugh.
