GameLuv’s “Social Factor” from SocialScan

Perhaps it’s not “professional” of me to share this with everyone but I find SocialScan to be quite an interesting and entertaining site. It provides the social metric that traditional stat tracking doesn’t pick up on. Seeing my monthly hits is good and all but how am I doing on Digg, Technorati, or Delicious? Well, now you know… and so does anyone else who can type a web address.

The Digg count for us is pretty nice but over 700 of them come from one article I submitted myself over a year ago. I enjoy writing and running this site but like all bloggers it’s nice to know people are out there reading what you spend so much time writing. I know a lot of my personal friends read us (or have joined us) and I appreciate it, but I want to grow and bring complete strangers here. People I didn’t go to college with, people I don’t work with. This is the stuff that I see and think about when looking at any of our stats.

I’m not sure why I felt compelled to share it here but there it is, GameLuv’s “social factor”. Just don’t stack us up right next to Joystiq or Wired.
