Snake!? SNAAAAAA… Oh wait, incoming call
Somewhere between très cool and très stupide, is this recently announced headset to coincide with the June 12th release of Metal Gear Solid 4. For $60 big ones, you get a fully functional Bluetooth headset which will work both with the PS3 and any other Bluetooth device you happen to own. It sports 8 hours of talk time per charge, ergonomic design, Bluetooth v2.0 spec, and a nifty little traveling case. What it doesn’t sport is a way for you to talk to your best buddy Otacon anywhere and anytime you like, but I wouldn’t be surprised if MGS4 plays audio through your headset when Snake receives calls.
While I think it looks pretty cool and is a neat accessory for one specific game, I can’t imagine pairing it up with my cell phone and wearing it in public. But it does look pretty small, so maybe it won’t draw too much attention. Still, $60 is a lot to ask, no? You can get a new game for that much!
No word yet on where the headset will be available, but presumably it’ll be sold at just about any retailer that carries games.
