First Images and Details of Tomb Raider: Anniversary on Wii
When Eidos first announced Tomb Raider: Anniversary I brushed it off as a last ditch effort to cash in on the franchise before the ailing property was finally sold to a third-party publisher out of Kazakhstan. I’m happy to say that Tomb Raider: Legend went on to rekindle my love for the franchise and I’ve been waiting for the Anniversary release ever since. So why don’t I own it yet? It’s a question I didn’t think would come up.
I planned on buying Anniversary the day it was released on PlayStation 2. I imagined rediscovering Lara’s original adventure with yet another Sony branded controller in my hands ten years later. But then Eidos announced that Anniversary would be available in installments on the 360. The call of better graphics and potential Achievements stopped my credit card from swiping. Now, just as I’m searching for a cheap copy of Legend for the 360, Nintendo Power goes and blows the lid off of the Wii version which won’t be out until the fall and looks all the more exciting.
