I was really surprised when you guys bought an ipad. I thought you (Shawn & Katy) hated Apple with fire of a thousand suns.

    • I've always been excited about the games for the iPhone but never wanted to get involved with AT&T/Apple on a contractual basis. I'm not the kind to spend money to break out of phone contracts so I could never bring myself to commit to it. I'm NOT crazy about Apple in general but I do like their UI designs and, of course, all the apps/games/utilities are really great. So now I can benefit from the iPad's larger screen and current (for today) hardware without paying monthly to anyone!

I think Katy's the same way, coping with Apple in order to play fun and clever new games, but I'll let her comment further. 🙂

  • Shawn wasn't as bad about Apple as I am/was. I still think they're slimey, but I hate being left out on games. That's why we have so many consoles!! Now that I'm on the mailing list I got info about iphone 4 that had me bitching again about Apple on twitter. lol

I like how they are the “first” phone to do video calls, when the Evo (an Android phone) is out already, and can do video calls over both WiFi and 3g. But since Papa Steve said the iPhone did it first, that is what the media reports.
