View Your PlayStation Trophies on PlayStation.com

The thinking seems to be that if Sony waits long enough to copy the Xbox 360, no one will notice. Years after saying they weren’t going to reward players with an intangible achievement system the PlayStation 3 finally got its Trophies. And now, ten months later, you can finally view them on PlayStation.com; ya know, just like you can with Achievements on Xbox.com.

And here’s a snapshot of my current progress with the completely convoluted system of levels, bars, percentages, and tallies. I do like the various trophies but in trying to differentiate themselves from the Xbox’s Achievements Sony went a little too far. I’d be impressed just to see someone with a Platinum trophy or a level of 8, but all of them together kinda dilutes the bragging rights.

It’s also a bummer that you can’t yet see your Friends list on the site or compare Trophies with them, but give ’em enough time and Sony will copy implement that too. For now, we’ll just have to post screen grabs of our Trophy lists to compare. I’m pretty proud of my progress with Flower, that ‘Pure’ Trophy was a pain in the ass. What about you?
