Eat a cheat code with new Xbox and Oreo campaign

Starting 2023 strong with an adorably dumb marketing campaign, Xbox has teamed up with Oreo to create edible cheat codes! Well, sort of. Coming in January to 22 countries, though unfortunately it’s a Euro-only campaign, special packages of Oreos will sport cookie designs with the Xbox logo, face buttons, and arrow combinations. According to the press copy:

By scanning the Oreo Xbox Special Edition cookies and by cracking exclusive cookie combinations, inspired by the cheat codes hidden in games throughout history, fans can unlock a range of prizes.

Along with giveaways for Oreo-themed Xbox hardware and Game Pass subscriptions, cookie code crackers can unlock extremely dumb skins for Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and Sea of Thieves. I love that they went the extra mile and instead of just stamping the Xbox logo onto some Oreos, they created a way for the cookies themselves to be a part of the code.

Honestly, I just love the cookies and think a perfectly preserved set in a sealed display box would be an appropriately dumb addition to the game room. Any friends overseas want to snag a pack and ship them over?
