Viva Pinata had music!?!
Excuse me, game industry, can I… have a word with you for a minute? Now, I enjoyed Viva Pinata and I like the music that Grant Kirkhope has created over the years, but when you release a soundtrack THREE YEARS later I’m not at all inclined to buy it. Honestly, I can’t even remember if there was music in Viva Pinata, not to mention the kid’s TV show, the sequel or the DS version, all of which have come and gone between the original game and this soundtrack’s release. I’m sure there was something holding up the process, and I’m grateful that it’s available as of July 28th (on disc, iTunes and here), but any synergy between the game and its music has long since been snuffed out in my mind.
