Wii Offers Revolutionary, oh wait, this is lame!
And it starts. Without any other really great ideas for a title Taito has resorted to what could become the Wii’s bread-and-butter; the WarioWare-style minigame marathon. Furu Furu features a rather paltry roster of only 30 minigames that require you to tilt, twist, and point your WiiWand.
Games include twitching at just the right time to pull off sweet skateboard tricks, playing Breakout, tilting your finger just right to attract dragonflies, and rotating a maze to roll a ball to the exit. Other minigames feature soccer, baseball, jigsaw puzzles, sleazy magistrates, and Root Beer Sushi Tapper. Not the most creative lot but the games are at least more vibrantly colored than WarioWare and some feature 3D.
I’m sure it’s fun and all, but for how long? The Wii is already on shaky new ground, the last thing it needs is a library full of gimmicky games to make it stumble into obscurity. I complain because I care. More images after the cut, or check out the full post at GameWatch.
