A Secret Tune in a String of Nintendo Titles

So check this out! The guys at Powet.tv found an interesting easter egg dating back ten years through several Nintendo titles. Games including the Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (for Game Boy), Mario Paint, Animal Crossing, and Yoshi Touch ‘n Go all have a secret melody that plays under precise conditions.

What’s the explanation behind the tune? Kazumi Totaka. Over the years he’s served as sound designer on many games and has snuck in his little signature melody. Games he’s worked on that may or may not contain the tune include Luigi’s Mansion, Wave Race 64, Pikmin 2, and Wario Land (on Game Boy and Virtual Boy).
