It’s been a good long while now (thanks to my PC and webhosting dying) but we’re finally back with a fancy new theme courtesy of WordPress. B2Evolution was nice and all but we kept feeling left out of the Web 2.0 movement. Not that there’s anything 2.0 about this new site but I assure you it works a lot better which means less time spent fiddling with FTP and more time spent posting! … I hope.
Take a look around, post a comment. You shouldn’t have to make an account, just fill in the info. You’ve done this before I’m sure.Β Over to the right we’ve got a new sidebar that’s still under construction. I love having the latest comments over there as well as the quick archive and category search. I don’t know how many of you use it but it’s there. We’ve also got our Xbox 360 GamerCards back but there’s much more info on each of us via the two About links at the top of the page.
And then there’s the ads. Yes, we put ads on our site because 1) they make it so easy and 2) we might actually make some money via accidental clicks. Honestly, I had as much fun building our Amazon aStore as I did building the site. I tried to integrate it into our theme but I’m not masterful enough with CSS to pull it off. But, if you click on that stuff over there it’ll pop up a new tab with our store, full of games and stuff we recommend, all pulled from Amazon.com. If you buy stuff via our store we get a little commission, same with the Play-Asia search box below that. And of course, there are the Google AdSense links which are only good for a laugh at how unrelated they can be.
So, there you have it. We’re back and shiny and new. We’re still tweaking things, checking out new plugins and tools but we should be stable and ready for your browsership! We even managed to import the last two years of posts (though some odd formating came with it).
